The Earth is speaking...are we listening? Voices of the Earth Life Lessons from a Blue Planet The Earth Monk as Adam Chapuis is otherwise known wrote a book about the lessons the Earth is teaching us. His subtitle - "Life Lessons from a Blue Planet" spoke to the fact that we needed to see the entire planet on the cover and since there were multiple "Life Lessons" to be learned, multiple images of the Earth were shown in differing size signifying importance. The Sun in the middle brings it all together as the source of the knowledge, power and light. |

The Self Knowing who you are when you're trying to be someone else The cover of Hoefer's The Self comes from David's desire to see a perfect reflection of a perfect, yet asymmetrical image. Capri chose the Bonsai tree because of its beauty grace and form and the fact that the beauty comes in the expression of how the tree grows, expands and expresses in its own way - almost never symetrical. The reflection shows that its form is real and the water gives voice to the reflection. The yellow base color yields also is a reflection of warmth and happiness which is what the author wants for his reader. |

A desolate scene, however one also brimming with hint of light and new life. It is a 4000 year history of THE Jewish family, and many of the periods of their history are bleak with disaster, however, they always always recovered. The light is to signify that. The strength of the tree in a bleak season represents a strong people able to endure hardship, yet persevere. |

It is not a shadow on the water, but a reflection of the man above. It is a reflection of a man whose invention was unprecedented in its era and its beauty can be seen even if you can't see it directly. Since the circumstances of Icarus' death have remained unknown until this novel, we can not look upon Daedalus directly. We can only see the strength and beauty of what he created.
